Position Overview

The Market Manager will reside in a designated distributor home market and serve as the primary link between Tilray Beer, our distributor partners, and retail customers.

This role is responsible for driving execution of key initiatives, supporting distributor performance, and delivering against market-level sales objectives.

Key focus areas include:

  • Supporting 1-3 distributor partners and their branch networks
  • Driving execution of Must Win Initiatives with distributor and retail partners
  • Leading incentive (IR POD) activation to deliver budget targets
  • Ensuring chain execution (ads, features, distribution gaps, and communication)
  • Driving brand discovery through events, sampling, and promotional activations

This role reports to the Area Sales Manager (ASM).

Compensation:$80,000-$90,000 annually, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a deep understanding of the assigned market, distributor network, and channel dynamics
  • Build strong working relationships with distributor sales managers, reps, and key retail accounts
  • Work in-market weekly to support execution alongside distributor teams and retail partners
  • Lead or participate in distributor meetings and present business updates as needed
  • Develop and execute programs, incentives, and performance targets
  • Track and report weekly/monthly performance metrics
  • Manage allocated budgets effectively
  • Analyze syndicated and internal data to identify opportunities and build action plans
  • Deliver business reviews with key distributor partners
  • Support VIP/Karma and other internal systems to drive insights and execution

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in beverage alcohol, preferably within the beer category
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and adaptability in fast-paced environments

Preferred Skills

  • Strong working knowledge of VIP/Karma systems
