BOH team member – JINYA Ramen BarJob Summary

Back of House Team Members are the heart of the JINYA Ramen Bar experience. You support the Kitchen Manager and play a critical role in delivering exceptional ramen and menu items with consistency, precision, and quality.

BOH Team Members ensure every guest receives the highest standard of food production while collaborating with front-of-house teams to create a seamless and memorable dining experience.

Primary Responsibilities

• Proactively support the back of house team in tasks that helps efficiency including maintaining cleanliness, handling soup or line duties and dishwashing

• Learn to prepare ramen, appetizers, and menu items according to recipes and Kitchen Manager instructions

• Execute proper food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating standards

• Maintain strict adherence to food safety, sanitation, and kitchen cleanliness procedures

• Follow all JINYA health, safety, and operational policies

• Operate kitchen equipment safely, including fryers, knives, and heavy cookware

• Participate in JINYA’s cultural greetings including “Irasshai” and “Arigato”

• Arrive on time and report to your workstation prepared for service

• Communicate clearly and professionally with BOH and FOH team members

• Support front-of-house staff to ensure smooth guest service

• Promote and execute JINYA’s core values of Teamwork, Hospitality, Authenticity, Creativity, and Integrity

• Complete additional tasks and projects as assigned by management

Required Competencies

• Some restaurant kitchen experience

• Knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and food preparation techniques

• Strong multitasking ability in a high-volume restaurant environment
