BOWEN SCARFF FORD is looking for Experienced Ford Service Technicians to join our growing team!  Other OEM experience is accepted and transferred as well. The right candidate will have a strong service technician background with Ford certifications and/or equivalent work experience, ASE certifications are a plus. The day-to-day duties include but are not limited to diagnosis and repair of Ford branded vehicles both large and small.

Responsibilities

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with both Ford and Dealership policies.  

  • Manufacturer specific diagnostic tools and equipment to be utilized for system and subsystem operating performance. 

  • Utilize your experience and skills working with complex Ford systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. 

  • Rather specialize in a category or two?  We do customized technician schedules which allow for Ford category specialist adherence and promotes work flow.

  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisors so that customers are informed accurately for progress and of any additional service is needed.

  • Provide estimated time needed for diagnostics and repairs to maintain production schedule as a whole.

  • Execute all repairs to manufacturer specifications and documentation requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of Service Technician experience preferred

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • ASE Certification suggested and considered

  • Ford Certifications a plus and required to be working towards if hired.  Other OE brand certifications considered for conversion.

  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred.  Other OE brand dealership experience considered.

  • B level qualifications or greater desired.  Including Diagnostic principles, Electrical systems, and all other categories of the vehicle.

  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination

  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to operate diagnostic equipment

  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies

  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve

  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment

  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively

  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures

  • Maintain Valid driver's license and clean driving record

  • Background check required prior to hiring
  • Clear Pre-Screen drug testing per Washington State guidelines required prior to hiring
