Job Summary:

The Video Editor is responsible for creating visually appealing and engaging video content for a variety of purposes, such as marketing campaigns, social media platforms, instructional videos, and more. They must be skilled in using video editing software, have a creative eye, and be able to work collaboratively with other members of the video production team.

Part-time

Key Responsibilities:
  • Edit raw video footage and audio files into a finished product that meets project specifications
  • Add music, sound effects, and other elements to enhance the video
  • Collaborate with the producer and director to understand the project goals and requirements
  • Create motion graphics and incorporate other visual elements into the video
  • Ensure the final product meets quality standards and is delivered on time
  • Stay up to date with new video editing technologies and techniques to continuously improve skills and knowledge
  • Manage project files and archives to ensure efficient organization and retrieval
  • Communicate effectively with clients or stakeholders to ensure their needs are met
  • Handle multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio of work
  • Proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
  • Knowledge of video compression, encoding, and delivery standards
  • Familiarity with motion graphics software, such as After Effects, is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree in film, video production, or related field is preferred but not required
