Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer with audio focus, you will be responsible for audio system support, feature development, and project integration. Optimize workflow and deliver rich content across large-scale dynamic environments. Develop robust, efficient tech that can support multiple projects.
Core Responsibilities
  • Design and develop innovative audio features tailored to the gameplay, stories, of our open world games.
  • Design and implement systems and tools for the audio team's needs (such as sound propagation, environmental audio, dialogue systems, music, physics systems etc.).
  • Maintain and optimize existing systems in Unreal Engine to ensure performance and functionality.
  • Support sound teams in audio implementation workflows.
  • Coordinate with teams across departments through structured collaboration and communication to promote seamless audio integration.
  • Work with the sound design team to meet project requirements within performance and memory budgets.
Core Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in programming within the video game industry.
  • Strong proficiency in C++ and Unreal engine or other large-scale game engine architecture.
  • Experience implementing interactive 3D audio in dynamic game-world environments.
  • Experience with Audiokinetic Wwise or similar real-time audio framework.
  • Knowledge of game engines and the constraints of game consoles.
  • Ability to work independently and also within a multidisciplinary team where you can communicate ideas with the sound team and other engineers.
  • Knowledge of real-world acoustics and sound propagation principles.
  • Familiar with modern solutions to automated implementation pipelines.
  • Passion for games, enthusiasm, initiative, and a strong work ethic.

The base pay range for this position is $115,000 to $140,000 per year. Actual compensation is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. We also offer a competitive package of benefits including paid time off, sick time, company holidays, parental leave, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
