Repack/Sorting Associate
Location: Plymouth, MI Shift: 1st (7:30am-4pm) Pay: $17/hr
Job Summary
Are you a motivated and detail-oriented individual looking for a new opportunity? We're seeking a Repack/Sorting Associate to join our team in Plymouth, MI. In this role, you'll play a key part in maintaining quality standards by inspecting, sorting, packaging, and repacking precision automotive parts in a fast-paced production environment.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Repack/Sorting Associate, your core responsibilities will include:
  • Quality Inspection: Inspect metal castings, automotive parts, and dunnage containers to identify defects, damage, contamination, or packaging concerns while ensuring all quality standards are met.
  • Sorting & Repacking: Sort, test, package, and repack automotive parts using foam, cardboard, VCI bags, plastic banding, and other protective materials to prevent damage during shipment.
  • Shipping & Inventory Support: Scan inventory in and out of the system, maintain packaging integrity, and support material flow throughout the warehouse and production facility.
In addition, you will also be expected to follow detailed work instructions, maintain organization in the workspace, and work closely with team members to safely handle larger parts requiring two-person lifts.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you should have the following:
Qualifications:
  • 1–3+ years of manufacturing, warehouse, production, shipping/receiving, or quality inspection experience required
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and stand for the duration of the shift in a physically demanding environment
Skills:
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to carefully inspect parts, identify defects, and maintain packaging accuracy without damaging materials.
  • Quality & Safety Focus: Understanding the importance of following procedures, maintaining product quality, and working safely in a production environment.
  • Teamwork & Reliability: Ability to work in a fast-paced, repetitive environment while staying dependable, organized, and production-focused throughout the shift.
