Job description

POSITION PURPOSE
The Production Associate is responsible for efficiently sorting and processing quality merchandise in a timely manner and making price tags or stickers for items that require a ticket. The incumbent follows all unit price and Solutions guidelines. The Production Associate is also responsible for welcoming and assisting donors.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
  1. Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum safety, security, and protection of all customers and company assets.
  2. Responsible for fulfilling all production functions and assisting with donation functions.
  3. Maintain continuous flow of Softline materials to achieve daily production quotas per shift. Work at assigned production station to sort Softline items and distinguish between quality merchandise and salvage. Hang quality items on a rack efficiently and price merchandise according to company guidelines.
  4. Maintain continuous flow of Hardline materials to achieve daily production quotas per shift. Work at assigned production station to sort and process Hardline items and distinguish between quality merchandise and salvage. Price merchandise according to company guidelines.
  5. Assist with quality pulls as needed and stock merchandise by classification on the sales floor.
  6. Safely assist in loading and unloading of trucks and vehicles without damage to merchandise; determine price, sanitize, and tag furniture and large donated items; place all merchandise safely on the sales floor in a timely manner.
  7. Perform housekeeping functions that ensure that workstation, production area, and sales floor are kept neat, clean, and organized.
  8. Ensure maximum customer satisfaction. Work cooperatively with all consumers, community groups, and co-workers to promote the achievement of the company mission.
  9. Perform all other duties as assigned including recovery functions.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED equivalent and related experience and/or training is preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills and ability to learn new software skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends as the business dictates.
