About the Role:

*** This is a second shift role.

The Maintenance Mechanic plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of manufacturing equipment within the steel plant. This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will work closely with production teams to identify and resolve mechanical issues promptly. By maintaining equipment in optimal condition, the Maintenance Mechanic contributes to the overall safety and quality of the manufacturing process. Ultimately, this role is vital for sustaining the company's commitment to delivering high-quality products to our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Some experience in troubleshooting, repair of mechanical equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems in a heavy industrial setting
  • Must have your own tools. Specialty tools will be provided by the company

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Specific experience with mobile equipment, and large stationary equipment desired
  • Exposure and/or experience to fundamental machining operations and repair considered a plus
  • Welding and fabrication abilities a plus
