Job Overview 
The Daisy Care technician is responsible for managing the technical side of a project after a project has been completed. Under a service contract, clients are provided with onsite service completed by the service technician. The Daisy Care technician will review systems, create applicable notes & surveys, and identify issues to be resolved by new installs. They will be responsible for ensuring clients’ satisfaction following their visit and providing the service desk with up-to-date information and notes on what items they have performed. The Daisy Care technician will float from site to site throughout the day, handling various requests for the needs of clients.  
 
Responsibilities and Duties 
  • Respond to client needs by: 
  • Perform diagnostics on system issues. 
  • Reporting of problems and testing of systems. 
  • Test AV signal flow and programming. 
  • Ensure functionality of control systems.  
  • Providing guidance on how to optimize, repair, or upgrade technology.  
  • Interact with clients to educate and assess changes needed, provide tutorials as applicable to the highest level of customer service to ensure client satisfaction.  
  • Liaison with client to set up, confirm, and outreach for appointments and technical needs.  
  • Act as a backup resource for the service desk to assist with tickets and other needs.  
  • Complete timely documentation for pre/post visit notes, including all service activities, updated and client interactions. Request for appointment follow-ups, and other client needs.  
  • Work cross functionally with sales and design on client surveys, proposals, and other needs that may arise.  
  • On-call weekend rotation is required.  
 Job Qualifications 
  • 5+ years’ experience working within residential AV smart home automation. 
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to multiple site locations & areas throughout the tri-state area including but not limited to: NYC 5 boroughs, Long Island including the Hamptons, Southern CT, Westchester County NJ, Northern NJ.  
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of:  
  • Audio & Video distribution concepts and equipment (HDMI, Dante audio)  
  • IR, RS-232, and Network control protocols & communication.  
  • Networking standards including, but not limited to, VPN connections & port forwarding concepts.  
  • Savant, Creston and/or Control4 control systems.  
  • Lutron lighting & shade systems.  
  • HVAC and thermostat functionality.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Must be organized and proficient in time management skills.  
  • Comfortable interacting with VIP clientele in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Expertise with product lines including Crestron, Savant, Sonos, Lutron, Snapav, Access Networks, Sonance, Bluebolt, Future Automation, and Seura.  
  • Expert knowledge of Crestron Toolbox, Savant, Dyn, DNS, etc.  
  • Ability to lift, move, and push 50 lbs.  
  • Valid driver’s license required.  
  • Crestron Savant, Lutron and/or other manufacturers’ training certifications a plus.  
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.  
  • Mastery of control systems including Creston, Lutron, Savant and Control4.
