Function

Administers compliance functions of the IT department under the guidance of the IT Solution Architect Manager and Information Technology Director. Manages projects for the deployment and integration of software systems. Collaborates on strategies to shape innovative solutions to meet critical business and technology challenges. Translates business and technical requirements and specifications into actionable project and product plans, unifying technical and business teams to drive the achievement of common goals. Delivers highly scalable, impactful tools that advance the technical and business strategies of the bank. Provides system administration for targeted systems. Represents IT concerns and consideration in complex challenges and issues to develop creative solutions, insight, and recommendations.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinates and supports proper change management to meet regulatory/compliance changes required for systems, processes, customer/employee notification and/or internal education.
  • Collaborates with IT management for the development of documented procedures and policies to support IT and security processes, including internal audit guidelines, hardening guidelines, and best practice guidelines.
  • Applies knowledge of regulatory guidelines and industry best practices in making recommendations to mitigate risk associated with IT audit responses for the business line, including: tracks and updates IT audit templates to ensure compliance, assists in gathering audit request information, maintains audit artifacts to support validation of remediation efforts (including meeting minutes with Managed IT Provider), schedules review meetings as necessary to review progress of audit remediation, and maintains working knowledge of compliance regulations for IT.
  • On a continuous basis, tracks ongoing vulnerability updates and items that may impact the line of business (past due, critical, high, and medium) in accordance with Service Level Agreements with Managed IT Provider.
  • On a continuous basis, identifies, opens incident or request tickets with Managed IT provider and monitors progress; escalates issues as appropriate to Director of IT.
  • Independently supports multiple technology initiatives and projects with respect to the bank’s overall strategic plan.
  • Works in tandem with PMO to facilitate project deliverables for IT solutions; attends project meetings, providing project status to the IT management team; acts as IT technical liaison in conjunction with PMO.
  • Collaborates with Lines of Business and Vendors to facilitate product build and deployment requirements; collaborates with Business Line Systems Admins and IT Application Support for product support transition.
  • Proactively ensures newly onboarded systems are configured, documented, and maintained to QA specifications for deployment and to meet annual reviews.
  • Executes project management responsibilities on initiatives, projects, and tasks assigned by IT Solution Architect Manager and IT Director.
  • Functions in an independent role to lead IT Solution Architect I & II priorities and schedules to meet department goals and objectives; mentors IT Solution Architect I & II regarding system architectures, information technologies, and IT project management.
  • Constructs and maintains department procedures for the management and maintenance of production information systems.
  • Conducts technical reviews of software solutions to analyze system requirements, specifications, and features in accordance with the bank’s corporate standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance guidelines; performs comprehensive technical review for net‑new projects and significant architectural changes for in‑place products to determine implementation in the S&T Bank environment (Security Controls, System Requirements, Security Entitlement, Support and any concerns or considerations).
  • Assigned technical reviews focus on new products and in-place product changes with high complexity and impact on bank sensitive data, customer PII, or financial/accounting practices.
  • Ensures any product not meeting corporate policies or build procedure is documented and noted appropriately to the business line and Information Security.
  • Collaborates and leads product managers, business line administrators, IT teams, partner vendors and service providers to deliver and support technical solutions.
  • Researches bank‑owned technologies to identify opportunities for consolidation of solutions to minimize duplication of work or resources; researches new products and services to assist in streamlining processes; researches system integration and automation utilizing Application Programming Interfaces.
  • Provides guidance and direction to the bank’s business lines and managed IT services on software management best practices.
  • Develops strategies for developing and executing test procedures for software systems and services.
  • Demonstrates advanced knowledge of a variety of software platforms and best practices; demonstrates advanced knowledge of network architecture and security.
  • Constructs and maintains documentation of system architecture and data flow to manage and monitor systems and services.
  • Understands and complies with all Corporate Policies pertaining to system deployment, administration, use, and maintenance.
  • Completes mandatory and assigned trainings within the prescribed timeframe with a qualifying score.
  • Maintains a good working relationship with all bank employees; demonstrates the ability to work independently; works as a team player to contribute to the success of the department and the organization.
  • Completes other tasks and duties as assigned by the Solution Architects Manager and/or IT management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Requires a four‑year business degree or equivalent specializing in computer science, information technology, or management information science.
  • Experience: Requires five to ten years of general experience and five to ten years of specialized experience in direct administration, design, deployment, QA/evaluation of client/server applications, client/server database systems, or systems integration technologies (Web Services, RestAPI, Connectors, etc.). Prefer two to five years serving as lead on managing audit and compliance duties for systems deployment and administration; prefer two to five years serving as lead on medium to large IT projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Physical Demands: Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day; operates electronic equipment: 90% of the day. Requires manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry up to 60% of the business day. Must focus visually at a close distance of 18–20” for up to 60% of the business day. Must occasionally lift, move, or carry up to 20 lbs. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
  • Salary Range: $55,000.00 – $156,450.00.
