Team & Role OverviewAbout the Team and Department

Franklin Templeton Investment Solutions (FTIS)brings together investment, research and product expertise to develop and manage multi-asset strategies. Within FTIS, theRetirement Solutions teamcombines expertise in strategic and dynamic asset allocation, glide path design, portfolio construction, risk management, and underlying investment selection, leveraging Franklin Templeton's global investment platform across public and private markets. Working closely with plan sponsors, consultants, recordkeepers, and distribution partners, FTIS delivers retirement solutions that support the evolving needs of participants and retirement systems across U.S. and international markets.

About the Role

TheSolutions Portfolio Manager - Retirement Solutionswill serve as a retirement and target date subject matter expert, supporting the growth of FTIS's retirement business across U.S. institutional, recordkeeper, intermediary and international markets. The role requires deep knowledge of the defined contribution landscape, target date funds, glide path design, and multi-asset portfolio construction, along with the ability to communicate complex investment concepts effectively to clients, consultants, and distribution partners.

How You Will Add Value
  • Represent FTIS's retirement investment philosophy, process, and performance in meetings with plan sponsors, consultants, recordkeepers, advisors and other institutional clients.

  • Serve as a senior product specialist for the Retirement Advantage target date platform, including traditional, customized, and next-generation target date solutions.

  • Support the development of U.S. institutional retirement opportunities, with particular emphasis on custom target date funds, large-plan mandates, and consultant-driven searches.

  • Help expand FTIS relationships with major recordkeepers beyond existing partnerships, including supporting product development, due diligence, and competitive positioning.

  • Provide glide path consultation for retirement systems and clients globally, including the evaluation of investor objectives, retirement-system characteristics, local risk preferences, and appropriate allocations.

  • Support the creation of institutional materials, thought leadership, competitive analysis, and other retirement-related content.

  • Work closely with portfolio management, product, distribution, marketing, legal, and operations teams to deliver customized retirement solutions.

  • Travel as needed to support client engagement, business development, conferences, and internal distribution meetings.

What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role

Experience, Education & Certifications

  • 10-15 years of relevant experience in asset management, retirement, investment consulting, or institutional investment solutions.

  • Deep understanding of theU.S. retirement market/solutionsand target date fund landscape.

  • Strong knowledge ofglide path design,multi-asset portfolio construction,retirement income considerations, and target date implementation.

  • Experience supporting institutional clients, plan sponsors, consultants or recordkeepers.

  • Experience with custom target date funds or institutional retirement mandates strongly preferred.

  • Experience at a leading target date asset manager, retirement consultant or recordkeeper is a plus.

  • Strong presentation skills and demonstrated ability to lead sophisticated client and prospect discussions.

  • Ability to communicate investment concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively across investment, product, and distribution teams.

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CFA preferred.
