Job description

We are seeking a proactive and forward-thinking Associate Facility Solutions Manager (AFSM) to join our team in the facility maintenance services field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the business operations of assigned clients in North County San Diego. This position provides field support, including training, guidance with starting new clients, inspections of Contractor performance and compliance with client requirements, trouble-shooting customer requests/complaints, coordinating site visits, and developing long-term relationships with clients and Contractors. The Associate Facility Solutions Manager must be able to work independently and with others, in any type of facility, including but not limited to industrial, manufacturing, office, medical, retail, etc. The AFSM must also exercise good judgment in reporting client concerns to management and in seeking the involvement of others to best meet clients' needs. Additional responsibilities include negotiating contracts, procuring supplies from clients and ensuring high client satisfaction.
Essential Functions
  • Manage all aspects of assigned client relationships, including client retention, expansion and diversification of City Wide building solutions and/or products.
  • Ensure a standard of excellence in quality and client satisfaction through detailed quality control inspections of client sites and consistent follow-through on all client promises.
  • Ensure the client's strategy is executed and all services are performed correctly.
  • Promote the sale of, procure and monitor supplies for clients.
  • Effectively communicate all client issues with the Enterprise Facility Solutions Manager and/or Director of Operations; promptly address any client issues or problems that arise.
  • Use City Wide's CRM to perform client inspections, adding extra charges, CCO routing, etc.
  • Schedule each non-routine activity in client facilities using Outlook.
  • Update and keep current all Building Information Sheets (BIS) and FSM Summary Sheets.
  • Ensure MSDS sheets for each client serviced in the janitor closets are complete, accurate and that all items are properly labeled.
  • Communicate client survey responses to the Director of Operations and the Enterprise Facility Solutions Manager.
  • Develop and implement a plan with the Director of Operations and the Enterprise Facility Solutions Manager to resolve client complaints or service deficiencies, and to actively monitor compliance.
  • Review the scope of work and ensure quality assurance per account to retain existing business and gain new business.
  • Ensure work is completed to client standards and company guidelines, and discharge if it does not meet the service level agreement. Manage inspections, customer complaints, customer requests, new client starts, or VIP treatment needing attention.
  • Execute City Wide Facility Solutions of San Diego's operational policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with client policies & procedures, approved cleaning tools and equipment and their proper use.

Requirements
  • 3-5 plus year's management experience in building maintenance, facility management or equivalent experience.
  • High School diploma required; bachelor's degree highly desirable.
  • Highly detail-oriented and excellent follow-through on commitments.
  • Positive, personable, and outgoing personality; great at building relationships.
  • Excellent verbal and strong written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and knowledge of CRM database.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be living in North County San Diego.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 30-50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, or kneel for extended periods.
