Your Role:

As a vital member of our team, you will be responsible organizing, planning, and managing the credit unionโ€™s Member Solutionโ€™s Collection programs, while being responsible for portfolio performance. Your role will also involve:

  • Leading the Member Solutions Department by coaching, training, cross-training and supervising team members in various aspects of collections.
  • Responsible for Bankruptcy Administration, Reserve Analysis, Credit Bureau Disputes, Deposit and Loan Fraud, Foreclosures, Force-placed Insurance, ODP, and Repo Assets.
  • Act as liaison between Credit Union Team Members, various Loan Review Committees, Members and other credit union department leaders.
  • Oversees third party vendor management for the collections arena, collection system configuration and deploying internal credit risk controls whole allocating appropriate resources for each.
  • Assists the VP of Member Solutions & Servicing with planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Negotiates with debtor and creditor counsel on Reaffirmation Agreements, Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Plans, Foreclosure Avoidance, Loss Mitigation Options, among other items.

What Are We Looking For?

Education:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree is required.
  • Proficient knowledge in bankruptcy law, foreclosure law, contract law, and collection law required.
Experience:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in collections.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
Other requirements:
  • Must be bondable.
