Solution Project Managers are professionals responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing projects that deliver tailored solutions to meet client or organizational needs. Project Manager | Construction Division
AOI Construction Division is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team! As a Project Manager on the Construction team, you'll oversee projects from vision to completion, ensuring every detail reflects AOI's commitment to quality, integrity, and innovation.
This opportunity is ideal for a builder with solid experience in commercial construction, who is passionate about interior renovations and Class A office build-outs. AOI is known for its long-term relationships with prestigious clients, and the successful candidate will uphold these relationships through excellence in project delivery.
Why Join AOI
At AOI, we build more than projects, we build trust, relationships, and lasting impact. For over 40 years, our Construction Division has partnered with some of the region's most respected organizations to bring visions to life. You'll join a collaborative, family-focused team that values integrity, craftsmanship, and innovation. Here, your ideas matter, your leadership makes a difference, and your work directly shapes the communities where we live and build.
What You'll Do
  • Project Planning & Execution: Analyze blueprints, specifications, and proposals to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates. Plan, direct, and coordinate activities across all project phases, ensuring goals and objectives are met within prescribed timelines and budgets.
  • Client Relations: Build and maintain long-term client relationships, meeting with owners to establish project scope and proactively resolving any concerns throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Estimating & Budgeting: Develop accurate project estimates and budgets. Prepare bids, work orders, contracts, and purchase orders while ensuring clear scope of work and minimizing company risk.
  • Schedule Management: Develop and manage critical path schedules, coordinating activities with subcontractors and staff to ensure timely project completion. Identify potential delays and take action to keep the project on track.
  • Team Collaboration: Confer with project staff to outline work plans, assign responsibilities, and provide technical guidance. Foster a collaborative, problem-solving approach on the job site.
  • Project Close-out: Complete necessary close-out documentation including cost accounting, as-built drawings, O&M manuals, payment applications, and post-job reviews.
  • Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and ensure OSHA compliance. Maintain a positive safety culture on the job site.

What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in construction management, engineering, construction technology, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in the construction industry, with project management experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills to manage multiple, simultaneous projects ranging from $20,000 to $5 million+.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and trust.
  • A commitment to excellence, personal integrity, and a strong work ethic.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Timberline, Procore, and/or related construction management software systems.
  • Knowledge of OSHA requirements, building codes, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Commercial interior renovation and build-out experience, particularly in Class A office environments.
  • Experience in adjacent markets. Preferred
  • Enthusiasm for AOI's diverse business model, including contract furniture and prefabricated construction solutions.

What Will Make You Successful Here
  • Natural Leader: You earn trust by being fair, consistent, and willing to roll up your sleeves.
  • Problem Solver: You anticipate challenges and act quickly to keep projects moving.
  • Detail-Oriented: You bring organization and foresight to every job.
  • Project-First Mindset: You care about safety, quality, and doing the job right, every time.
  • Team Builder: You develop people, boost morale, and create an environment where work feels like a team effort.

Here, you will find
  • A trusted, General Contractor with a 40-year legacy; known for integrity, craftsmanship, and lasting client relationships.
  • Collaborative team environment partnering with AOI's Furniture and Prefabricated Interiors teams to deliver seamless, end-to-end solutions.
  • Access to tools, technology, and empowering leadership team that trust you to make decisions and lead with confidence

Company Culture
A culture built on people and purpose. AOI is a family-focused company that believes in kindness, integrity, and celebrating one another's success. You'll find supportive teammates, approachable leaders, and a place where your work and wellbeing truly matter.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Competitive salary
  • Comprehensive health, dental and vision coverage
  • 401(k) with company match
  • Paid vacation, sick pay and holidays
  • Truck allowance
  • Tuition reimbursement
  • Career development and growth opportunities

Travel
  • Occasional travel to job sites and project locations may be required, including overnight stays based on project needs.
  • AOI provides all necessary travel accommodations
