ABOUT THE TEAM
The Platform Solution Management team at Parametric:

  • We are responsible for defining and enabling cross-platform business solutions that meet the needs of clients over time. Solutions are products, services, and/or systems that provide value to the client, whether internal or external to the PPA enterprise.
  • Sitting at the intersection of business, clients and technology, we collaborate with multiple teams to understand solution context and define the solution vision, intent, roadmap and capability set.
  • This team manages changes to the solution vision or roadmap based on enterprise objectives and strategy.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Lead Solution Manager is responsible for working skillfully across the organization to produce & maintain

  • Solution Vision, which entails defining:
    • what we are solving for
    • end-to-end user/customer journey or lifecycle
    • personas, their skills and needs
    • high level outline of a solution that addresses their needs
  • Solution Intent (in collaboration with Business Architecture function), which entails defining:
    • nomenclature for data and capabilities required to meet business objectives, this is critical to establish common language across business and technology
    • capability roadmap as well as migration paths and milestones when going from current state to future state
    • functional requirements
    • target operating model (business, operations) that complement evolution in systems
  • Solution Design & Architecture
    • Initiate and facilitate solution architecture with development leads, engaging to influence technical design and drive decision-making, ensuring it aligns with business objectives. Socialize decisions with senior executives to ensure alignment on design
  • Solution Execution & Roadmap (in collaboration with Stakeholders and Technology), which entails influencing:
    • High level timelines for capability delivery
    • Program Increments
    • Collaborating with Tech to deliver and make decisions

This position will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of strategic technology solutions at Parametric in collaboration with business and technology stakeholders and partners.

This position may have direct or indirect management responsibilities for Business Analysts. In addition the position collaborates with technology as well as project or program managers to bring the solution to fruition and evolve it over time.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively - both verbally and written - with technology and business partners to include strong discussion, debate and listening skills and the ability to look beyond obvious answers to understand impacts.
  • Creatively design workshops and user sessions by identifying suitable participants, being clear about outcomes and approaches (interviews, online whiteboarding, surveys, card sorting, etc.)
  • Ability to empathically understand and articulate user needs
  • Analyze data gathered through user/stakeholder interactions and apply design thinking to draw out goals/business needs/problem statement/opportunity to be addressed, workflows/user journeys, personas and high-level solution outline
  • Work collaboratively with the business and development team to draw out solution intent with capability roadmap and milestones.
  • Initiate and facilitate solution architecture with development leads, engaging on design to influence technical design ensuring it aligns with business objectives. Socialize decisions with senior executives to ensure alignment on design
  • Clearly understand and articulate dependencies that will influence sequencing of development
  • Collaborate in running Program Increments with Technology project managers in facilitating quarterly planning across teams. Collaborate closely with project managers, QAs and development teams on execution.
  • Work collaboratively with business stakeholders to draw out target operating model as systems evolve
  • Work collaboratively with business analysts in user research, operating model and architecture session facilitation and requirements definition for successful execution
  • Effectively manage stakeholder relationships through polished communication and follow-through
  • Effective written communication through solution inception, vision and intent documents
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Provide consultation and ensure continuity with product and development teams on solution.
  • Manage a team of individual contributors who contribute to the client analysis solution.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required/Master's degree preferred
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in Finance/Asset Management, Strategy, Product management
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in financial data products/investment platforms/wealth tech/portfolio construction/trading
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading and directing others to achieve measurable results.
  • Demonstrated ability to articulate solution or product vision and/or customized solutions to meet business objectives
  • Experience working with Scaled Agile software development processes
  • Advanced skills using a variety of tools to document workflows and data mapping including but not limited to Miro/Lucid, Excel, SQL, Visio/Lucid/Figma, PowerPoint, Confluence, Jira
  • Understanding of analysis and artifact goals throughout the solution lifecycle
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a highly dynamic and changing environment, under tight deadlines
  • Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to successfully manage, sequence and coordinate multiple simultaneous deliverables across groups and teams
  • Ability to lead and manage a team of direct reports consisting of contractors and/or FTEs

Salary range for the position: $115,000 - $225,000/Yr. The successful candidate may be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit's incentive compensation plan, which also may include a discretionary bonus component.
