They oversee pre-sales activities, ensure high-quality client presentations and demonstrations, and collaborate with sales and technical teams to deliver the best outcomes. Additionally, they are responsible for team development, strategic planning, and aligning solutions with organizational goals. Their role is vital in bridging the gap between customer needs and the company's offerings.

How does a solution consultant manager typically collaborate with sales and technical teams during client engagements?

A Solution Consultant Manager plays a crucial bridging role between sales teams and technical experts during client engagements. They often lead discovery sessions with clients alongside sales representatives to identify business needs, then work closely with technical teams to design and tailor solutions that address those requirements. This collaborative approach helps deliver compelling proposals and fosters strong client relationships.

Job description

As a Senior Solution Consultant on the Partner Solution Consulting team, you will leverage your technical expertise, presentation skills, and subject matter knowledge in Financial Reporting to help Workiva's strategic partners drive measurable revenue outcomes.

Workiva's strategic partners are an important part of our go-to-market strategy. The Partner Solution Consulting team supports partners in their presales activities, including solutioning, demo enablement, technical storytelling, and partner-led pipeline development. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical and pre-sales advisor to partners, helping them understand how Workiva supports the Office of the CFO and how to credibly position, demonstrate, and sell Workiva solutions in enterprise customer opportunities.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for strategic partners, positioning Workiva's financial reporting solutions and value to the Office of the CFO and CIO

  • Empower partners to confidently engage executive buyers by aligning their messaging, demos, and solution strategies with Workiva's corporate narrative

  • Create scalable enablement assets, such as demo scripts, guides, and certification programs, to drive long-term partner proficiency

  • Identify and cultivate partner champions capable of independently advocating for, positioning, and demonstrating Workiva solutions

  • Collaborate with Partner Sales and internal stakeholders to accelerate partner-sourced pipeline and identify new revenue opportunities across advisory and implementation services

  • Act as a trusted technical advisor, building strong relationships with partner leaders and teams to guide their go-to-market offerings, narratives, and sales strategies

  • Manage partner-facing projects with ownership and follow-through, bringing structure and momentum to ambiguous or evolving opportunities

  • Balance reactive partner support with proactive strategy while contributing insights, tools, and best practices to improve global SC-partner collaboration

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in a client-facing role such as Solution Consulting, Presales, Consulting, Partner Enablement, Technical Sales, or similar

  • Strong domain expertise with multi-entity reporting, consolidation, statutory reporting, or complex financial reporting environments

  • Experience working in or with a large consulting/advisory firm, including Big 4 or similar

  • Experience working with or selling to the Office of the CFO, including Finance, Accounting, Controllership, Financial Reporting, or related executive stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA, CA, ACCA, or similar finance/accounting accreditation; Public Sector or Financial Services industry experience is a plus

  • Experience with enterprise SaaS, cloud technologies, integrations, APIs, and enterprise architecture, including familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Workday, SAP, Oracle)

  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives and deliver value-based software demonstrations

  • Proven ability to manage projects, influence stakeholders without authority, and drive progress across internal and external teams

  • Experience creating scalable, repeatable partner-facing content, including demo frameworks, certification materials, and guides

  • Self-motivated and comfortable taking initiative in ambiguous environments

Travel & Working Conditions
  • Up to 40% travel

  • Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office

Workiva will not provide visa sponsorship for this position. Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent basis.
