Job description

The Role

Pivot Door Company is hiring a full-time draftsman to turn design specs into the precise, production-ready drawings our master carpenters build from every day. You won't be drafting whole floor plans — your focus is narrower and more specialized: the detailed technical drawings and construction plans for our semi-custom pivot entry doors, from sales quote to shop floor.

Our doors are engineered to provide flawless functionality while maintaining a mature and impressive esthetic presentation. We work with architects and construction specialists down to the end user to provide an affordable solution for high end entryways. Responsibilities

● Create technical drawings for door units that accurately match the specs on each sales quote or invoice.

● Draft door construction plans for standard orders using established calculations.

● Draft door construction plans for custom orders using calculations and the instructions/direction of the sales team and supervisor.

Required Qualifications

● Strong proficiency with SolidWorks; working knowledge of AutoCAD like programs.

● Expert working in Microsoft Excel

● Proficient with Google Workspace.

● Solid grasp of fractions and math.

● Sharp attention to detail, with the ability to hit deadlines and maintain 100% accuracy every day.

● A clear communicator who works well independently and takes direction well.

● Honest, coachable, and a good team player.

● An associate's degree in drafting, CAD/engineering design technology, or a related field — or equivalent hands-on drafting experience.

Preferred Qualifications

● Background in building or construction for enhanced familiarity of our doors’ constructions and terminologies.

Compensation & Schedule

● Pay: $24.00–$31.00/hour, depending on experience and capabilities.

● Full-time, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, 8-hour shifts. Office hours are 8am–4pm MT.

● Benefits: Paid time off.

● Work location: In person, Colorado Springs, CO.
