What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Solidworks Application Engineer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Solidworks Application Engineer, you need strong proficiency in 3D CAD design, mechanical engineering principles, and typically a degree in engineering or related field. Expertise in using SolidWorks software, familiarity with PLM/PDM systems, and relevant certifications like CSWP or CSWE are highly valued. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills help you effectively support clients and collaborate with teams. These skills ensure precise modeling, effective technical support, and successful implementation of design solutions for clients.

How does a Solidworks Application Engineer typically collaborate with customers and internal teams?
