Solidity Rust information

What is a Solidity/Rust developer?

Solidity and Rust developers are software engineers who specialize in building smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) for blockchain platforms. Solidity is mainly used for developing on Ethereum and similar blockchain networks, while Rust is often used for platforms like Solana and Near due to its performance and security features. Developers skilled in both languages can create, audit, and deploy secure, efficient blockchain programs. Their expertise is essential for projects involving decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and other blockchain-based technologies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Solidity/Rust developer?

To thrive as a Solidity/Rust Developer, you need strong programming skills in Solidity and Rust, a solid understanding of blockchain concepts, and experience with smart contract development. Familiarity with tools like Truffle, Hardhat, Cargo, and blockchain frameworks, as well as knowledge of security best practices and relevant certifications, is highly beneficial. Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication are essential soft skills for collaborating on complex projects and ensuring code reliability. These skills and qualities are crucial for building secure, efficient, and innovative blockchain applications in a rapidly evolving industry.

How do Solidity and Rust developers typically collaborate on blockchain projects, and what challenges might arise?

Solidity and Rust developers often work together on blockchain projects where smart contracts (usually written in Solidity for Ethereum-based platforms) need to interact with blockchain infrastructure or off-chain services (often written in Rust, such as Substrate or Solana programs). Effective collaboration requires clear communication about interface specifications and data formats, as well as a shared understanding of each language’s strengths and limitations. Common challenges include managing differences in tooling and debugging environments, aligning development timelines, and ensuring secure, efficient interoperability between smart contracts and lower-level blockchain components.

Role Summary:
We are seeking a Blockchain & AI Software Engineer to design and build next-generation payments and treasury platforms leveraging distributed ledger technology (DLT) and artificial intelligence. This role will focus on modernizing payment rails, liquidity management, settlement, reconciliation, and risk intelligence through secure, scalable, and compliant digital solutions.
The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with hands-on experience in blockchain systems and AI/ML, and understands the control, resiliency, and regulatory expectations of enterprise payments and treasury environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Payments & Treasury Engineering
  • Design and develop platforms supporting real-time payments, cross-border payments, settlement, and treasury flows.
  • Implement blockchain-based solutions for:
    • Tokenized deposits, stablecoins, and on-chain settlement
    • Liquidity management and intraday funding optimization
    • Reconciliation, confirmations, and auditability
  • Integrate blockchain components with core banking systems, payment engines, and treasury platforms.
  • Support interoperability across traditional payment rails (ACH, RTP, wires) and digital asset rails.

Blockchain Engineering
  • Build and maintain solutions across public, private, and permissioned blockchains (e.g., Ethereum, Hyperledger Fabric, Quorum).
  • Develop and deploy smart contracts for payments, settlement logic, and asset movement using Solidity, Go, Rust, or equivalent.
  • Design on-chain/off-chain architectures ensuring scalability, resiliency, and regulatory alignment.
  • Implement secure key management, transaction signing, and access controls.

AI & Advanced Analytics
  • Apply AI-driven insights to improve predictability, control, and decision-making in treasury operations.

Platform & Software Engineering
  • Build cloud-native, microservices-based platforms using modern engineering practices.
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise-grade standards for performance, resilience, observability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with architecture, treasury, payments, risk, and compliance teams to translate business requirements into technical designs.
  • Contribute to design reviews, code reviews, and platform governance.

Security, Risk & Compliance
  • Design solutions with security-by-design principles, including encryption, identity, access management, and audit trails.
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory and control frameworks (e.g., KYC/AML, data privacy, operational resilience).
  • Partner with risk, legal, and compliance stakeholders to support regulatory readiness.

Required Qualifications:
Technical Skills
  • Strong experience in software engineering (Java, Python, Go, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with blockchain platforms, smart contracts, or distributed systems.
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong understanding of APIs, event-driven architectures, and microservices.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and data pipelines.

Engineering Fundamentals
  • Solid grounding in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot high-throughput, low-latency systems.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in payments, treasury, or financial services platforms.
  • Exposure to tokenized deposits, stablecoins, CBDCs, or digital settlement models.
  • Knowledge of liquidity management, intraday funding, and reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with MLOps and AI governance frameworks.
  • Understanding of regulatory expectations for payments and AI in banking.
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams.

Soft Skills & Mindset
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable operating in complex, evolving technology landscapes.
  • Clear communicator who can bridge technology, treasury, and business stakeholders.
  • Strong sense of ownership, accountability, and control-first thinking.
  • Passion for innovation in payments and treasury modernization.
