Solidity Rust information

What is a Solidity/Rust developer?

Solidity and Rust developers are software engineers who specialize in building smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps) for blockchain platforms. Solidity is mainly used for developing on Ethereum and similar blockchain networks, while Rust is often used for platforms like Solana and Near due to its performance and security features. Developers skilled in both languages can create, audit, and deploy secure, efficient blockchain programs. Their expertise is essential for projects involving decentralized finance (DeFi), NFTs, and other blockchain-based technologies.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Solidity/Rust developer?

To thrive as a Solidity/Rust Developer, you need strong programming skills in Solidity and Rust, a solid understanding of blockchain concepts, and experience with smart contract development. Familiarity with tools like Truffle, Hardhat, Cargo, and blockchain frameworks, as well as knowledge of security best practices and relevant certifications, is highly beneficial. Analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, and clear communication are essential soft skills for collaborating on complex projects and ensuring code reliability. These skills and qualities are crucial for building secure, efficient, and innovative blockchain applications in a rapidly evolving industry.

How do Solidity and Rust developers typically collaborate on blockchain projects, and what challenges might arise?

Solidity and Rust developers often work together on blockchain projects where smart contracts (usually written in Solidity for Ethereum-based platforms) need to interact with blockchain infrastructure or off-chain services (often written in Rust, such as Substrate or Solana programs). Effective collaboration requires clear communication about interface specifications and data formats, as well as a shared understanding of each language’s strengths and limitations. Common challenges include managing differences in tooling and debugging environments, aligning development timelines, and ensuring secure, efficient interoperability between smart contracts and lower-level blockchain components.

Job description

About the Role

Zero Hash is looking for an experienced Engineering Manager, Tokenization with a passion for digital assets and blockchain products to lead the development of our asset tokenization and RWA (Real World Asset) infrastructure. We’re looking for a true technologist with a love of programming and a drive for technical excellence. We believe that the best managers are technologists first with a product mindset who seek to make a larger impact in their organizations.

Responsibilities
  • Work with a team of talented engineers and product managers to deliver tokenization products and features that support Zero Hash’s business.
  • Partner closely with product and program managers to ensure the tokenization roadmap is well understood and the team is able to plan and execute on expected outcomes.
  • Work with the team on technical planning to ensure that product requirements—such as smart contract logic and asset lifecycle management—are captured in the technical solution.
  • Partner with other Engineering Managers to drive the broader technical roadmap forward.
  • Support the engineering team in achieving a high level of technical excellence in blockchain development and integration.
  • Manage processes to help the team do its best work and interface effectively with the rest of Zero Hash.
  • Recruit, coach, and develop engineers, specifically those specializing in smart contracts and distributed ledger technology.
  • Help engineers establish career development plans within the evolving digital asset space.
  • Contribute to engineering-wide initiatives as a member of Zero Hash’s engineering management team.
  • Participate in essential technical, design, and product discussions with leaders across our product and operations teams.
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders to build a clear vision for your team’s role in the tokenization ecosystem.
  • Oversee the success of your team's projects and achieve quantifiable results regarding asset issuance and throughput.
  • Introduce industry-leading engineering patterns and practices that give us the confidence to do bold things in the RWA space.
  • Make consistent development contributions so as to maintain competency with our codebase and system architecture.
Required Experience
  • 10+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, with a significant focus on building and maintaining robust APIs and SDKs for B2B integration.
  • 5+ years of engineering management experience, including managing staff and principal‑level engineers.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering OR equivalent years of work experience.
  • Proven track record of managing teams that have delivered complex, production‑grade blockchain or financial products.
  • Golang expertise, familiar with Go’s idiomatic approach and niches.
  • Familiarity with TypeScript and React for frontend services and dashboarding.
  • Deep Understanding of Tokenization & Blockchain:
    • Expertise in smart contract development (Solidity, Rust, or Go‑based chaincode).
    • Experience with token standards (e.g., ERC‑20, ERC‑721, ERC‑1155, and security token standards like ERC‑1400).
    • Knowledge of on‑chain transaction flows, minting/burning logic, and oracle integration.
  • Domain Knowledge:
    • Solid understanding of the lifecycle of Real World Assets (RWAs) and their transition to digital ledgers.
    • Familiarity with custody solutions, multi‑sig architectures, and MPC (Multi‑Party Computation).
    • Understanding of regulatory requirements relevant to digital securities and tokenized assets (e.g., KYC/AML triggers on‑chain).
  • Core Infrastructure & Distributed Systems:
    • Experience building and managing mission‑critical backend systems such as high‑throughput accounting/ledger systems.
    • Experience with distributed system design and messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka, NATS, or ZeroMQ) for data distribution and persistence.
    • Expertise in writing highly concurrent, multi‑threaded code and optimizing for high‑throughput environments.
Benefits Offered

We believe that the best way to succeed is by having a happy, motivated and healthy team. We offer the following benefits:

  • Healthcare Insurance: Zero Hash covers roughly 100% of employee premiums as well as a portion of spouse/children
  • Vision & Dental Insurance
  • Mental Health and Wellness Program
  • Equity Ownership and Early Exercise
  • Maternity & Paternity Leave
  • Educational budget of USD 1000

About Zero Hash

Zero Hash is a B2B embedded infrastructure platform that allows any platform to integrate digital assets natively into their own customer experience quickly and easily (a matter of API endpoints). We power neo‑banks, broker‑dealers, and payment groups to offer digital asset trading and custody, crypto‑backed rewards and round‑ups programs as well as yield through staking and DeFi and NFTs.

Our thesis is very simple: every financial services firm will offer digital assets within the next 2 years and will do so through platforms such as Zero Hash. Zero Hash is defining the new FinTech vertical of digital‑assets‑as‑a‑service.

Clients include Stripe, MoneyLion, Wirex, Deserve, MoonPay, tastytrade, Drivewealth. Backed by Point72 Ventures, NYCA, Bain Capital, tastytrade.
