As of Jun 6, 2026, the average hourly pay for solid js in the United States is $58.23, according to ZipRecruiter salary data. Most workers in this role earn between $49.28 and $63.70 per hour, depending on experience, location, and employer.

What are some common challenges SolidJS developers face when integrating with existing codebases, and how can they be addressed?

SolidJS developers often encounter challenges when integrating the framework into projects that already use other JavaScript libraries or frameworks, such as React or Vue. These challenges can include managing state across different frameworks, ensuring compatibility with existing build tools, and handling differences in component lifecycles. To address these issues, it's important to modularize new SolidJS components, use interoperability patterns (like micro-frontends), and thoroughly test for edge cases. SolidJS's reactivity model is also different from other frameworks, so developers should familiarize themselves with its fine-grained reactivity to prevent unexpected behavior.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a SolidJS Developer, and why are they important?

To thrive as a SolidJS Developer, you need strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern web development concepts, as well as experience with the SolidJS framework. Familiarity with related tools like npm, version control systems (e.g., Git), and build tools such as Vite is typically expected. Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills help developers work effectively in teams and with stakeholders. These skills and qualifications are crucial for building efficient, maintainable, and high-performance web applications using SolidJS.

What is the difference between Solid Js vs React Developer?

AspectSolid JsReact Developer

Required SkillsJavaScript, understanding of reactive programming, familiarity with Solid Js syntaxJavaScript, JSX, React hooks, component lifecycle
Work EnvironmentModern web development teams, startups, companies adopting new frameworksLarge tech companies, startups, agencies using React for web apps
Industry UsageEmerging, gaining popularity for performance benefitsWidespread, established in the industry

Solid Js and React Developer roles both focus on building web interfaces, but Solid Js is a newer, lightweight framework emphasizing performance, while React is a widely adopted library with extensive ecosystem support. Developers should choose based on project needs and familiarity with reactive programming.

What is Solid JS?

Solid JS is a declarative JavaScript library for building user interfaces. It focuses on fine-grained reactivity, which allows for efficient updates and fast performance without the need for a virtual DOM. Solid JS offers a simple and composable API that makes it easy for developers to create interactive web applications. Its architecture is similar to React, but it achieves better speed and smaller bundle sizes. Solid JS is ideal for developers who want high performance and reactivity in their web projects.

Job description

Company Description

About Us:

We're a seasoned startup team in San Francisco, looking to bring a few new team members on board. It's been a great couple of years and now it's time to grow! We've got a product that is selling, paying customers, and rock-solid funding. Classic startup vibe here, we know the value of hard play as it correlates to hard work.

Job Description

Basic overview:

We are looking to hire a couple of developers, could be specialized or more fullstack, we're open. To be successful in these positions, you've got to be proficient with React.js and/or React Native.

The primary responsibilities will be developing UI components and implementing them following well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. If you've worked with React Native as it relates to mobile applications, that's ideal.

  • Develop features using React.js
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Skills that will bring success in these roles:

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript.
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Industry experience coding with Ruby/Rails and Node.js
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Experience with data structure libraries
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • A knack for benchmarking and optimization
