  • Strong knowledge of ZFS, NFS, UFS, volume management, storage allocation, and file system administration.

  • Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting using Shell, Python, or Ansible.

  • Good understanding of enterprise middleware integration and application hosting on Unix/Linux platforms.

  • Experience with monitoring, incident management, root cause analysis, and production support.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead Solaris-to-RHEL migration projects, including infrastructure assessment, workload analysis, and migration planning.

  • Perform application discovery, dependency mapping, and compatibility assessments for migration activities.

  • Design and execute migration strategies with minimal business disruption and downtime.

  • Build, configure, and automate server provisioning using infrastructure automation tools and scripting.

  • Manage Solaris Zones, LDOMs, Containers, and virtualization platforms to optimize resource utilization.

  • Perform OS installation, patch management, security hardening, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.

  • Administer storage, ZFS, NFS, file systems, and volume management to ensure high availability and performance.

  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement performance optimization initiatives.

  • Collaborate with application, middleware, storage, network, and database teams during migration and modernization projects.
