Job Summary:
USM Business Systems Inc. is a quickly developing worldwide System Integrator, Software and Product Development, IT Outsourcing and Technology assistance supplier. They are seeking a Solaris Administrator Tier 5 to provide systems administration support for Solaris servers, manage the SAN environment, and design innovative solutions to improve system processes.
Responsibilities:
β€’ Provide systems administration support for multiple Solaris servers running Solaris 10.
β€’ Install and configure new software and hardware products.
β€’ Perform system tuning and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
β€’ Support the development and testing teams as necessary, evaluate and recommend new products that meet their needs.
β€’ Manage the SAN environment to ensure availability and performance.
β€’ Design and implement creative solutions that improve system processes through automation and documentation.
β€’ May act as a manager or lead, responsible for planning and monitoring schedule milestone and deliverables.
β€’ Must possess effective oral and written skills and strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
β€’ Must be a team player able to work in a dynamic environment and have a working knowledge of the SDLC and the associated processes and documentation.

β€’ Must possess 10 years Solaris 10 and 5 years SAN Fibre Channel Administration experience.
β€’ General Experience: 14 or more years related experience.
β€’ Education: Bachelor of Science in related field or equivalent years of experience.
Preferred:
β€’ Experience implementing solutions in IBM WAS, Oracle, and Red Hat environment.
β€’ Hands-on experience working with Brocade switches and NetBackup.
β€’ Writing Shell scripts.
β€’ Managing security requirements in a Solaris environment.
