## Labor Relations CounselApplylocations: Irving, Texastime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: 40015578If you have what it takes to become part of the Vistra family and would like to start a promising career with a global leader, take a look at the exciting employment opportunities that are currently available and apply online.**Job Summary****Job Description****Key Roles & Responsibilities*** Provide legal counsel, risk analysis and support, training to Vistra on a variety of employment and labor-related matters as well as compensation and benefits issues.* Advise on all aspects of labor relations, including union campaigns, collective bargaining agreements, grievances, arbitrations and settlements* Draft and negotiate terms of corporate transactions or agreements related to personnel or benefits issues, including outsourcing arrangements, workforce transition or engagement of contractors, and service provider contracts.* Interpret and draft benefit plan documents.* Draft employment agreements, releases, severance documents and other labor/employment related documents on behalf of the company.* Proactively advise Vistra management regarding ways to avoid or mitigate potential claims against the company and assert claims by Vistra.* Make recommendations regarding the potential resolution of cases, including potential settlement as well as the litigation of legal proceedings against others.* Manage unfair labor practice charges and proceedings beofre the NLRB* Supervise outside litigation counsel and provide guidance to such counsel with respect to Vistra’s strategies, policies, and objectives.* Work with senior leadership, HR and operations to support compliance activities in HR and labor/employment areas.* Provide day-to-day advice and counsel to HR partners and throughout the business.**Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements*** Juris Doctorate, at least one state Bar membership and ability to become licensed in Texas within 1 year.* 4-5 years of substantial legal experience in labor law within a well-established law firm and/or corporate environment.* Strong oral and written communication skills.
