About this opportunity :
The Project Manager is responsible for leading project teams and developing and executing project plans in accordance with Avecia's policies and procedures. The Project Manager is the primary contact for Business Development as well as for customers. The Project Manager will work closely with all relevant departments within Avecia to ensure projects are delivered within a manner that meets both Avecia's and the customer's needs.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Project delivery
    • Follow applicable Standard Operating and Business Process Procedures for Project Management responsibilities.
    • Ensure project teams / representatives perform appropriate procedural assessments.
    • Ensure that a project plan is maintained, and all tracking mechanisms are completed (Service Revenue, QUOTIF, Stage Gate Reviews, Change Orders, Project Steering Committee inputs, Post Event Review)
    • Identify and escalate scope change, resource, and schedule conflicts.
    • Through interaction with Quality Assurance, ensure all aspects of Quality System and cGMP are actively addressed in compliance with the appropriate regulatory and internal standards.
  • Project communication
    • Ensure appropriate project documentation (minutes, emails, etc.) that captures critical information is disseminated to all applicable individuals in a timely manner.
    • Ensure communication is performed in a timely and sensitive manner, especially regarding any adverse events that may occur.
  • Cost management
    • Provide Finance with timely invoices according to proposal & change order milestones and monthly revenue recognition updates.
  • Work with Business Development to review new proposals and to also capture any scope creep / change orders as are needed.
  • Maintain up to date on core training requirements.
  • Participate in project process improvements.
  • Participate with other departments in the development and project management of activities to enable the department to improve its support to the business and in a changing environment.

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • B.S. degree and 2 or more years of Project Management experience.
  • Knowledge of bulk API manufacturing and / or a strong background in CGMP / contract manufacturing.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills

The annualized salary range for this position is $98,300.00 - $120,200.00.
