Job description

Solar Project Coordinator

Company:

Our client is a well-established solar company with a fantastic reputation of excellent service on residential single and multifamily dwellings.

Opportunity:

We are currently looking for a Solar Project Coordinator to drive and manage custom new home solar projects throughout California. Must work exceptionally well with multiple stakeholders both internally and externally.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for completing detailed and itemized solar material quantity estimates from owner or contractor furnished plan sets.
  • Determine correct solar system type, interconnection type, and system sizing.
  • Prepare quotations and proposals from architectural drawings.
  • Perform clerical duties associated with keeping up filing and job folders.
  • Read construction blueprints, drawings, plans and specifications and prepare estimates.
  • Generate preliminary and final project budgets based on bid proposal and project details.
  • Ensure thoroughness of estimates and help with ease of construction by field operations.
  • Keep and track bid schedule.
  • Generate solar award notices for internal Operations team to formally kickoff each project.
  • Assist and support the sales and management team to grow the new solar business.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma. College degree or some college experience preferable.
  • 3 years of solar or electrical experience.
  • Construction administrative experience required
  • Experience with new construction & retrofit PV projects.
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
