General Laborer - Solar Field Construction
Duration: 1-Year Contract (Weekly Start Dates)
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Hours: 40-50 hours per week
Pay: $20/hour
Job Overview
We are hiring General Laborers to help build a large-scale solar farm. Team members may work on the Pile Installation, Racking Installation, or Solar Panel (Module) Installation crews. This is a physically demanding, outdoor construction role that requires working with hand and power tools, lifting materials, and walking long distances across the job site.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with unloading and moving construction materials around the site.
- Help install steel piles, racking systems, and solar panels.
- Use hand tools, power drills, tape measures, and other basic construction equipment.
- Follow blueprints and directions from supervisors.
- Measure, align, and secure materials according to project requirements.
- Perform quality checks to ensure installations are completed correctly.
- Support general construction tasks, including site cleanup, material staging, and maintenance.
- Work safely around heavy equipment and follow all job site safety requirements.
- Meet daily production goals while working as part of a team.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of construction or outdoor labor experience.
- Experience using hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to lift 25+ pounds repeatedly throughout the day.
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to walk long distances and work on uneven terrain.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and perform physical labor for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic.
Preferred Experience
- Solar construction experience.
- Racking or solar panel installation experience.
- Electrical construction or cable pulling experience.
- Utility-scale renewable energy project experience.

This is a Contract position based out of San Antonio, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
