We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at our state-of-the-art factory in the Columbus, Ohio area. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment critical to our operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving technical challenges, and ensuring the reliability of advanced production systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance on sophisticated electrical and mechanical production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.

  • Evaluate equipment functionality, safety, and productivity, adhering to established protocols and standards.

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex equipment issues, making timely repairs or replacing components as needed.

  • Use and interpret schematic diagrams, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand and resolve equipment challenges.

  • Plan and execute the unpacking, assembly, installation, or dismantling of machinery, ensuring precise alignment with equipment specifications.

  • Operate and manage tools and heavy equipment, such as forklifts, aerial lifts, hoists, and cranes, to move or position machinery.

  • Perform welding, fabrication, or calibration tasks as required to maintain or enhance equipment functionality.

  • Document maintenance activities, modifications, and repairs in the designated tracking system.

  • Follow all safety requirements, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Collaborate with the Equipment Engineer and other team members to address priorities and meet operational goals.

  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned to support equipment and production needs.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; skilled trade degree (such as Electrician, Industrial Mechanic, or similar field) strongly preferred.

  • Experience: At least 2 years of related experience in equipment maintenance or industrial machinery.

  • Strong technical aptitude with exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.

  • Effective planning, coordination, and execution abilities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.

  • Comfortable working under pressure while maintaining high attention to detail.

  • Must be able to regularly bend, twist, reach, and stand for extended periods of time during the shift.

  • Must be able to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
