Job description

SolarTech is hiring a licensed Journeyman Electrician to support our growing residential solar and battery installation team. We offer steady work, strong benefits, and a team-first culture focused on quality, safety, and getting the job done right.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install and connect solar PV and battery storage systems (ESS)
  • Perform and lead Main Panel Upgrades (MPUs) including service replacements, derates, and panel relocations
  • Complete subpanel installations, service tie-ins, and load-side connections
  • Read and execute from electrical plans and single-line diagrams
  • Run and bend conduit (EMT, rigid, flexible) to code
  • Troubleshoot, test, and commission systems
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, OSHA, and local codes
  • Support inspections and coordinate with AHJs
  • Mentor installers and maintain a safe, efficient job site


Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or relevant certifications a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in solar panel installation required
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools, conduit bending, and safe ladder use45.
  • Ability to work at heights and in various outdoor conditions, including heat and confined spaces5.
  • Physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, and work on your feet for extended periods5.
  • Valid driverโ€™s license, reliable transportation, and clean driving record required5.
  • OSHA 10-Hour Construction Certificate preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, safety, and quality workmanship.
