About the Role:
Join SUNFIRE CONSTRUCTION INC as an Outside Solar Field Technician and become a vital part of our dynamic team! In this role, you will work on exciting projects in Riverside, CA, ensuring quality and efficiency on-site while delivering exceptional service to our clients.

Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, service, and repair SolarEdge, Enphase, Tesla, and SunPower solar systems.
    Diagnose inverter, optimizer, microinverter, monitoring, communication, and system-performance issues.
    Install, replace, commission, and troubleshoot solar inverters and related electrical equipment.
    Remove and safely reinstall solar panels when required for repairs, roof work, equipment replacement, or system modifications.
    Perform solar system inspections to identify installation issues, equipment failures, damage, and code or safety concerns.
    Conduct site surveys and evaluate properties for solar service, installation, and repair requirements.
    Inspect existing solar installations and provide accurate reports on system condition and required repairs.
    Read and understand solar system layouts, electrical diagrams, equipment specifications, and installation plans.
    Work with project managers and other technicians to complete service calls and projects efficiently.
    Communicate directly with customers and explain system problems, repairs, and recommendations in a clear and professional manner.
    Coordinate with subcontractors and other trades when necessary to keep projects moving.
    Document inspections, troubleshooting findings, completed repairs, materials used, and recommended follow-up work.
    Follow all applicable electrical, OSHA, safety, and company requirements.
    Maintain company tools, equipment, vehicles, and job sites in a clean and professional condition.
    Travel to various job sites as required.
    Represent the company professionally at all times.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in solar or a related field.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with construction tools and safety equipment.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as needed.
