Application Instructions
Applicants - a job offer is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background check, negative drug test satisfactory to the AUI drug and alcohol policy and per state law. Test will be performed at a federally certified lab. Upon request an operator/safety certification must be provided.

Position Description
The main purpose of the Journeymen Electrician is to install/build various Electrical systems/components of solar and Renewable Energy systems on an active construction site. This person will exercise great care in safety and quality and will be a great team player. Depending on work location, travel may be required. Local to nationwide travel options are available for candidates interested in full-time travel.
Must be a licensed journeyman electrician.
1) Solar Panel Installation:
• Physically install solar panels on various surfaces, including residential and commercial rooftops, ground-mounted systems, and solar tracking systems.
• Ensure proper alignment and positioning of solar panels for maximum energy capture.
• Securely mount solar panels using appropriate hardware and fixtures.
• Assemble and install racking systems to support solar panels.
2) Electrical Wiring:
• Perform electrical wiring to connect solar panels to inverters, batteries, and electrical grids.
• Safely route and secure electrical cables and conduit.
• Ensure proper grounding and bonding to maintain system safety and functionality.
3) Quality Assurance:
• Conduct inspections before, during, and after installations to ensure compliance with industry standards and company guidelines.
• Verify that all components are correctly installed, secure, and functioning as expected.
• Address any installation issues promptly to maintain system efficiency and safety.
4) Maintenance and Repairs:
• Provide routine maintenance services to solar energy systems, including cleaning, tightening connections, and inspecting for wear and tear.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with solar panels, inverters, or electrical components.
• Perform necessary repairs and replacements to ensure system reliability.
5) Documentation:
• Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment used, installation dates, and inspection reports.
• Complete and submit paperwork related to permits, warranties, and customer documentation.
• Maintain organized project files for reference and auditing purposes.
6) Safety Compliance:
• Strictly adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and best practices to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety tools.
• Ensure a safe work environment for yourself, team members, and customers.
7) Customer Interaction:
• Communicate with customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Explain the functionality of the solar energy system and its benefits to customers.
• Address customer inquiries, concerns, and provide guidance on system usage and maintenance.
8) Continuous Learning:
• Stay updated on industry trends, technological advancements, and changes in regulations related to solar panel installation.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
9) Equipment Handling:
• Safely transport and handle solar panels, inverters, mounting hardware, and other installation equipment.
• Ensure the proper storage and organization of tools and materials.
10) Teamwork:
• Collaborate with other team members, including project managers and electricians, to ensure efficient and successful installations.
• Assist in coordinating installation schedules and logistics.
11) Travel and Transportation:
• Travel to job sites frequently, which may involve driving to various locations.
• Ensure the availability and maintenance of a reliable transportation vehicle.
12) Regulatory Compliance:
• Stay informed about local, state, and federal regulations and permits related to solar installations.
• Ensure all installations comply with relevant codes and standards.
Relationships:
• Participate in networking events and business development opportunities within Industry and Professional organizations and associations.
• Ensure there is proper communication and customer service between your team and the organization.
• Maintain positive, productive relationships with ALL stakeholders, including AUI employees, Subcontractors, Vendors, Owners, Architects, Engineers and regulatory entities.
• Always represents AUI with the highest standard of professionalism - Leads by example.
Miscellaneous Duties:
• Receive Supervisory guidance with respect to overall objectives; operate within department policy guidelines using independent judgment in achieving assigned objectives and performs additional assignments per supervisor's direction.
• Always adheres to company procedures and policies.
• Attend and participate in meetings as required.
• Provide support on any special projects as requested.
• Available 24/7 as needed for emergencies.
• Comply with all safety policies, practices and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to Area Manager
• Travel as required up to 100%.
