Main duties
MACHINE OPERATOR
Reports to Production Supervisor
Fully participate in and support the Mersen Quality System.
General Description:
Set up, adjust and operate a variety of large machines, perform machining operations involving close tolerance and finish specifications.
Exemplary Duties/Responsibilities:
Ability to follow operational sequences prescribed.
  • Operate machines to produce pilot pieces for inspection, check setups and make adjustments to correct variances.
  • Work from part drawings, specifications, setup and operating instructions.
  • Use a wide range of precision measuring instruments and devices to set up, operate and check work.
  • Be responsible for final inspection under general supervision.

Continually improve and monitor quality through product delivery, conformance and performance.
Minimum Qualifications:
Suggested high school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
