Job description

Yard & Logistics Lead - Coral Reef/Solar Energy
Department: Yards
Employment Type: Full Time
Location: Harrisburg, PA
Description
The Site Logistics Lead is responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient yard facility, supporting daily logistics, and ensuring materials and equipment are safely loaded, offloaded, stored, and transported. This role plays a key part in supporting solar project execution by managing inventory, coordinating deliveries, and performing occasional day trips to deliver or pick up parts and materials at project sites (up to 150 miles from the yard).
This role will work out of our Jonestown, PA Yard location.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the yard, warehouse, and storage areas
  • Receive, inspect, and inventory incoming shipments of solar materials and equipment
  • Operate forklifts and telehandlers to load/unload trucks and manage inventory storage
  • Ensure all materials are stored properly and labeled for accurate retrieval
  • Perform regular inventory counts and support inventory control processes
  • Prepare and stage materials for upcoming projects
  • Perform local and regional (day-trip) deliveries to job sites using company vehicles
  • Safely load and secure materials for transport
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries and pickups
  • Perform minor maintenance on yard equipment and assist in equipment readiness
  • Support job site teams with urgent material needs or transfers
  • Process Purchase Orders as needed

Requirements
  • Prior experience in logistics, warehouse, or yard operations
  • Strong understanding of inventory management practices
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL not required)
  • Ability to operate forklifts, telehandlers, and other material-handling equipment (certification preferred or company will provide training)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs as needed
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to travel within 150 miles for day trips as needed
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification
  • Familiarity with solar construction materials
  • Experience working with construction teams or in renewable energy environments
