Job Title: Rhode Island & MA Licensed Electrician – Solar Installation

Location: Rhode Island/Massachusetts

About Us

We are a growing Mattapoisett, Ma –based solar energy company dedicated to delivering high-quality residential and commercial solar installations. Our team takes pride in craftsmanship, safety, and helping customers transition to clean, renewable energy.

We are seeking a Rhode Island & MA Licensed Electrician to join our field operations team. This role is critical to ensuring safe, code-compliant, and efficient solar installations across the state.

Responsibilities

  • Install, wire, and commission solar PV systems (residential & commercial)

  • Perform electrical tie-ins, inverter installations, battery systems, and service upgrades

  • Ensure all work complies with NEC, Rhode Island state codes, and utility requirements

  • Supervise apprentices and installation crews when needed

  • Troubleshoot and service existing PV systems

  • Complete electrical inspections and testing

  • Maintain clean, professional, and safe job sites

  • Communicate clearly with project managers and inspectors

Required Qualifications

  • Active Rhode Island and/or MA Journeyman electrical License

  • 3+ years of electrical experience (solar experience preferred)

  • Strong understanding of NEC and Rhode Island electrical codes

  • Ability to read electrical drawings and one-line diagrams

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

  • Comfortable working on rooftops, ladders, and lifts

  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solar PV and/or battery storage experience

  • Experience with service upgrades, generators, or EV chargers

  • Leadership or crew supervisory experience
