Position Title: Data Analysis Specialist Intern

Department: Quality

Description:

The Quality Data Intern will support the Quality team in data analysis, dashboard maintenance, project coordination, and administrative activities. This role provides exposure to manufacturing quality systems, business intelligence reporting, and cross-functional project management.

The intern will assist in maintaining existing Power BI dashboards, responding to data requests from various departments, tracking quality improvement projects, and supporting day-to-day operational activities within the Quality organization.

Responsibilities:

Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Support data extraction and reporting from existing Power BI dashboards.
  • Assist internal departments with routine and ad-hoc data requests.
  • Validate data accuracy and investigate discrepancies.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly KPI reports.
  • Organize and summarize large datasets using Excel and Power BI.

Dashboard Maintenance & Documentation

  • Learn and understand existing Quality dashboards and reporting logic.
  • Maintain dashboard documentation, KPI definitions, and user guides.
  • Support dashboard testing and validation following updates.
  • Identify opportunities to improve reporting efficiency and data visibility.

Project Coordination

  • Track project action items, due dates, and ownership.
  • Follow up with stakeholders on open tasks and project deliverables.
  • Maintain project status trackers and meeting minutes.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Presentation & Administrative Support

  • Assist in preparing management presentations and reports.
  • Compile data and information for management reviews.
  • Support department administrative and organizational activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in:
    • Engineering
    • Data Analytics
    • Business Analytics
    • Industrial Engineering
    • Information Systems
    • Related disciplines

Preferred Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Lookup Functions, Data Analysis)
  • Familiarity with Power BI or other BI tools
  • Basic understanding of SQL preferred
  • Strong PowerPoint presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
