Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our renewable energy team. As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be a key contributor to the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems. Your expertise in electrical systems and renewable energy technology will ensure the safe and efficient operation of solar installations while adhering to industry standards and regulations. Electricians must be well-versed in residential wiring and able to coordinate with multiple crew members during the installation process. This position will require the individual to have the ability to communicate with other crew members and our corporate office effectively and efficiently.
Essential Duties:
โ€ข Ensure that work is performed in a professional manner to conform to existing national and local building codes.
โ€ข Work cooperatively with team members to complete residential solar installations.
โ€ข Diagnose and troubleshoot system components to resolve electrical issues.
โ€ข Lead the installation of electrical systems that interconnect the solar array to the grid.
โ€ข Ensure work performed is of good workmanship and compliant with current NEC and local codes.
Key Competencies:
โ€ข Possession of either national or state journeyman electrician license.
โ€ข Working knowledge of current NEC codes.
โ€ข Must have working knowledge and experience replacing residential electrical services and distribution panels.
โ€ข PV Solar installation experience is preferred but not required.
โ€ข Must be experienced with all required hand/power tools associated with the electrical trade.
โ€ข Ability to read and interpret single line drawings.
โ€ข Must be comfortable working from ladders and at heights.
โ€ข Compliant with OSHA standards
