Your Role:

As an Experienced Solar Roof Lead, you’ll work as part of a 3-person crew alongside licensed electricians to install residential solar energy systems safely, efficiently, and to Simply Solar’s high standards. You’ll take the lead on all roof-related work and help deliver top-tier solar installations that power California homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret solar plan sets and layouts
  • Install residential solar systems on various roof types
  • Lead roof layouts and complete roof penetrations
  • Ensure all racking is level, secure, and properly grounded
  • Bend and run rooftop conduit for solar wiring
  • Perform basic electrical connections (home runs, jumper wires, etc.)
  • Manage roof-top safety and fall protection in compliance with OSHA 
  • Install tilt kits, solar panels, and related components
  • Represent Simply Solar with professionalism and a positive attitude

Qualifications

  • 1.5+ years of solar installation or roofing experience (minimum)
  • Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with battery systems or ground mounts (preferred)
  • Crew leadership or training experience (a plus)
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check
