Job description

Job Summary:
The Solar Installation Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting residential solar systems while adhering to safety standards and ensuring high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Solar Installation: Install photovoltaic (PV) systems according to design specifications, manufacturer guidelines, and company standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including electricians, project managers, roof lead, and foreman to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Independent Work: Execute solo tasks, such as non-roof repairs or maintenance, with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve system malfunctions, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Safety Compliance: Follow OSHA safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others.
  • Quality Control: Perform inspections and testing to verify system performance and ensure all installations meet regulatory requirements.
  • Documentation: Accurately document work completed, materials used, and system specifications for each project.

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 1-3 years of solar installation experience (residential or commercial).
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of solar PV systems and their components.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
    • Basic electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
    • Familiarity with hand and power tools.

  • Personal Traits:

  • Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Salary Range:
$44,970.00 - $71,950.00
*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.
This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance.
