Reports to: Director of Solar Field Operations

Travel: Frequent throughout California

construction homebuilders and homeowners throughout Northern, Central, and Southern California.
Our focus and core expertise is New Construction. We serve national, regional and local homebuilders,
real estate developers, and general contractors, providing long-lasting roofing, solar, and home battery
storage solutions for single-family homes, multifamily dwellings, and selected commercial buildings.
We leverage that expertise to also provide New Construction-grade roofing, solar, and home battery
storage solutions to existing homeowners.
In all cases, reliable execution and customer service are at the heart of our operations.

The Opportunity:
We are currently looking for a General Superintendent who will be responsible for the quality and safetyof installations and managing Solar Field Superintendents Day to day operations and havingrelationships with community supers and understanding requirements of newcommunities/jurisdictions.Projects range in size from app. 50 – 800 kW and are all in new construction (retrofit projects aremanaged by our sister retrofit division).This role performs at the intersection of the well-organized Citadel new construction backoffice and theprofessional new construction field environment in close cooperation with homebuilders and the othertrade partners on the job site.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all crews follow Citadel Safety standards as well as enforce Citadel Safety Program
  • Review Team Up Calendar for to ensure workloads are evenly distributed to what crews can achieve
  • Work with Superintendents to make sure quality of installs are being met to Citadel standards
  • Make sure that all Superintendents are providing warehouse and Project Coordinators what they need to ensure material is ready on time
  • Provide on-going training to all Superintendents, Crew Leads and Crew members
  • Review all timecards to ensure that they are correct and accurate as well as required safety documentation before submitting
  • Review New Solar Award Notices and ensure that they are aside to appropriate Superintendent
  • Work with Superintendents to ensure that all new communities/project have Project Kick Off Form filled out and returned to Project Coordinator
  • Review missing photos list with Superintendents and work with them and crews to capture all missing photos (goal to have less than single digit missing photos per week)
  • Ensure Superintendents are keeping up with truck stock for crews
  • Ensure Superintendents are providing internal teams agreed upon SLA for adding events and updates to Teamup Calendar
Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all Superintendents comply with Citadel and industry standards for workmanship, quality and safety for all New Homes Solar installations
  • Ensure that all New Homes Solar field operations employees have proper safety equipment and documentation on each vehicle that is being used on job sites
  • Provide quality audit updates to team with findings from Superintendent’s quality audits good and bad to operations team along with tracking of individual crews
  • Ensure that all New Homes Solar field operations employees are properly trained for the work that they are being asked to complete
  • Ensure that all New Homes Solar field employees’ vehicles have up to date maintenance required by Enterprise Fleet Management
  • Make sure all Superintendents are providing required assistance to rest of team to fully execute our obligations to our customers
Skills & Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of experience as a Superintendent, responsible for managing crews and/or Superintendents
  • 5+ years solar installation and troubleshooting skills
  • Roof top over tile, comp, TPO, ballasted, carport, ground mount solar installation
  • Battery storage
  • New construction background (preferred)
  • Ability to read and understand bule prints and single line diagrams
  • Ability to troubleshoot in the field and coordinate field resources
  • Management skills to oversee crews and field techs
  • Electrical solar experience (Enphase/SolarEdge) a plus
  • Good record keeping and organizational skills for tracking multiple projects
  • Ability to set up extension ladder and occasionally access roof and perform inspections
  • Good computer skills including Photo Software, Scheduling Software, Excel
  • Knowledge or Builder software platforms (i.e. SupplyPro) a plus
  • Ability to solve problems, resolve situations while managing customer relationships
  • Good communication skills – both external and internal
  • Bilingual English/Spanish language skills a big plus
