Job description

Job Title: Laborer - Eastern Shore Solar FarmJob Description

Join our team as a laborer supporting operations and maintenance projects on the Eastern Shore Solar Farm in Virginia. This seasonal role, running from March to December, involves working primarily at the Eastern Shore Solar Farm with occasional travel to Virginia Beach and Chesapeake. Work will include vegetation maintenance on already built solar farms.

Responsibilities
  • Support operations and maintenance functions on solar farms.
  • Perform vegetation maintenance tasks.
  • Walk in rough terrain continuously throughout the day.
  • Lift and carry up to 25 pounds continuously.
  • Follow written instructions effectively.
  • Work outdoors in hot and/or wet conditions for extended durations.
  • Work 10-12 hour shifts as needed.
Essential Skills
  • 1+ years of construction experience.
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools.
  • OSHA 10 Construction Safety certification.
  • Dependable transportation to the site.
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with machine operation (e.g., skid steer, rough terrain forklift, tractor) is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license is required.
  • Strong attendance and communication skills are essential.
  • No more than three call outs within three months.

Work Environment
