Job description

We are seeking a Market Manager to play a key role in our Nevada install operations. This position will work closely with executive leadership, reporting to the National Install Director, and will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and timeliness of our install processes.

Responsibilities

  • The Market Manager role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of projects from contract signed to completion, while maintaining Sunsolar Solutions standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction
  • Oversee Nevada staff at ground level
  • Lead the execution of solar installation projects, ensuring adherence to Sunsolar Solutions timelines and quality standards
  • Manage install teams to ensure effective collaboration and optimal performance
  • Collaborate with support staff for allocation of resources, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors, to meet project requirements and deadlines
  • Implement and maintain Sunsolar Solutions quality assurance processes to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and system performance
  • Enforce strict adherence to Sunsolar Solutions safety protocols and regulations to protect the well-being of employees, clients, and the public throughout the project lifecycle
  • Coordinate and manage solar install teams and support other staff as needed
  • Work closely with Sunsolar operations leadership team members providing recommendations on how to enhance and improve building and/or site configuration
  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency gains, implementing best practices and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes and customer value
  • Stay abreast of relevant market regulations, codes, and standards, ensuring full compliance with applicable requirements at all times

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, general construction, solar energy systems, project management, and team leadership
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in solar energy project management, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Ability to travel 25% with overnight trips to jobsites across Texas
  • Demonstrated success in the Project Management function of a construction firm
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, coach, develop and retain high-performing teams
  • Thorough understanding of solar energy systems, including design principles, installation techniques, and equipment specifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools for planning, scheduling, and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Solid understanding of safety regulations, OSHA standards, and industry best practices for construction and renewable energy projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement effective solutions

Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Journeymen’s card preferred
  • Must be eligible to be added to company auto insurance policy
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug test
  • OSHA 30 required
  • Must be able to lift and carry equipment and materials
  • Must be able to do prolonged periods of sitting at desks, stooping, kneeling, bending
  • Occasional exposure to outside weather on job sites
  • Ability to walk job sites for prolonged periods of time
  • Must be able to occasionally lift at least 55 lbs solo and 90 lbs. in tandem lifts
