Role Summary:

Tillman Networks is currently seeking a Solar Program Development Director for the Solar program. We are seeking a client focused, highly motivated, and organized individual for site development projects. As a Solar Program Director, you will identify site projects and research their viability. The successful candidate will be responsible for the successful execution of our site development services, full-site pricing, client satisfaction, project delivery, technical quality, and coordinating site development services.


What You’ll Do:

  • Oversees planning, process improvement and strategic initiatives
  • Oversees and owns full development of projects in assigned markets
  • Develop and execute site development strategy aligned with Tillman’s solar project goals
  • Support Tillman development activities of distributed-scale solar and energy storage projects from site control feasibility to the start of construction
  • Manage and report project data as it pertains to budget, schedule, and deliverables
  • Prioritize, coordinate, review, and track key development deliverables with internal teams and external legal, zoning, environmental, interconnection, and engineering consultants
  • This role will provide an opportunity to gain experience in solar development, project finance, solar regulations, and data analytics in an exciting, high-growth environment
  • Responsible for the budget, margins, and other financials for the market
  • Utilizes data and internal reporting tools to identify areas of improvement
  • Partners strategically with the customer and internal teams to drive efficiencies
  • Works with Vendor Management team to ensure sufficient crew resources are maintained, and team is managing crews effectively
  • Works with Vendor Management team to establish quality tracking and improvement for crews
  • Provide leadership and direction to construction managers and project teams, ensuring efficient project execution and delivery
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor construction progress, assess safety protocols, and address any issues or challenges that arise
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for client communication, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining positive relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure timely attainment of all milestones, proactively address any deviations from the project schedule, and implement necessary measures to prevent penalties
Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Real Estate, or related field
  • Must have 5+ years experience within the Solar field
  • Must have full understanding of pricing, project scope, and the front-end process
  • Understands the EPC and owner/operator module from start to finish
  • Knowledge of zoning, planning, and regulatory regulations
  • Land Acquisition Experience
  • Demonstrated expertise in safety compliance, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices for solar installation projects
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders
  • Expertise in project planning and budget administration

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications in solar energy, project management, or related disciplines
  • Experience working with renewable energy technologies, including solar photovoltaic systems and battery storage solutions
  • Proven ability to drive innovation, streamline processes, and implement best practices for project optimization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering innovative solutions to complex challenges
