General Role Description

Expand the growth of TMEIC's utility-scale solar and energy storage inverter business across North America by prospecting new customers to expand customer base, including developing customer proposals, managing commercial documentation, coordinating cross-functional bid responses, and maintaining strong customer engagement throughout the sales cycle

Role Accountabilities

-   Independently execute sales strategies to grow the Company's utility-scale solar and energy storage inverter business by expanding customer base across EPCs, IPPs, developers, utilities, and asset owners on non-established projects

-   Act as the primary internal point of contact for EPCs, developers, IPPs, utilities, and channel partners for inbound inquiries

-   Identify and qualify new opportunities by reviewing industry databases, interconnection queues, and other market intelligence sources

-   Manage the full inside sales process, including lead qualification, proposal development, quoting, and pipeline reporting for non-established clients

-   Prepare budgetary proposals, formal quotations, and commercial offers aligned with customer specifications and Company standards

-   Develop cost models and complete proposal packages in collaboration with engineering, project management, operations, and finance

-   Provide customers with accurate product information, pricing, lead times, and application guidance in coordination with SAEs 

-   Participate in contract review and negotiation efforts in coordination with legal and senior sales leadership

-   Track market activity, competitive developments, and trends across the utility-scale renewable energy sector

-   Maintain CRM data, sales forecasts, and account activity metrics; monitor key account performance against targets

-   Facilitate order handoff to project execution teams to ensure a seamless transition from sales to operation

-   Participate in trade shows, customer meetings, and internal strategy sessions, as needed

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, renewable energy, or related field, or equivalent via education and/or experience
  • 2 years of inside sales, technical sales support, or commercial experience in renewable energy or related industries
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally across a complex organizational environment
  • Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts
  • Demonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills
  • Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Availability to travel 15%, sometimes with limited notice

Preferred Qualifications

-   4 years' experience with inside sales, technical sales support, utility-scale solar equipment or development, power electronics, energy storage systems, or related industries

-   Demonstrated experience delivering solutions for EPC or utility-scale renewable energy customers

-   Demonstrated experience with inverter technology, medium-voltage systems, and grid interconnection requirements

-   Demonstrated experience reviewing commercial contracts and technical specifications
