Responsibilities
Job Purpose
This position is a key technical contributor on the IS&T team, responsible for designing, developing, and implementing solutions that support and enhance the company's business processing environment. The Sr. Developer will work primarily within Salesforce and the broader Microsoft ecosystem while leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to deliver scalable, efficient solutions that meet the needs of business stakeholders. This role requires both strong technical depth and the interpersonal skills necessary to extract requirements, collaborate across teams, and independently drive projects from inception through delivery.
Key Accountabilites
  • Design, develop, test and deploy solutions primarily within Salesforce (Apex, LWC, Flow, integrations) and the Microsoft 365 ecosystem (Power Automate, Power Apps, SharePoint) to support business processing needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to elicit, document and refine requirements for new features and process improvements; translate requirements into actionable technical designs.
  • Evaluate existing business processes and systems; recommend and implement improvements that increase efficiency, reduce manual effort or leverage AI and automation capabilities.
  • Research and assess emerging technologies, including AI platforms and tools, to identify opportunities for adoption that align with business objectives.
  • Perform unit testing, support UAT, assist with release management, and ensure quality and documentation standards are maintained across delivered solutions.

Qualifications
Experience/Qualifications Required
This position is best suited for an experienced developer with a strong technical foundation and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who is comfortable owning projects end-to-end and adapting to a dynamic, lean team environment. A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred, along with hands-on software development experience.
Required:
  • Proficient in one or more object-oriented or scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, Java, Apex, or similar)
  • Demonstrated experience building and integrating solutions within a CRM or business process platform
  • Strong working knowledge of the Microsoft 365 environment (Teams, SharePoint, Power Platform, etc.)
  • Ability to gather, analyze and document business requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Experience working directly with end users and business stakeholders to define solutions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Proven ability to manage projects independently from requirements through deployment

Preferred:
  • Salesforce Developer Certification (e.g., Platform Developer I or II); equivalent hands-on Salesforce experience (Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components, Flow) will also be considered
  • Experience with AI tools, platforms, or APIs (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, OpenAI, or similar) and ability to apply AI to automate or augment business processes
  • Position Description Questionnaire: Sr. Developer - Business Process Solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies and tools such as JIRA
  • Experience with data integration, REST/SOAP APIs, and third-party system connectivity
  • Background working in a small, cross-functional team where members are expected to wear multiple hats

The expected starting pay range for this role is $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 USD. This range is an estimate, and base pay may vary above or below these amounts based on several factors, including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern's compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees at all levels. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, short and long-term disability, life insurance, voluntary benefits, family care benefits, an employee assistance program, paid time off and bonding leave, paid holidays, a 401(k)/RRSP retirement savings plan with employer contributions, and employee referral bonuses.
