Job description

We're looking for experienced Rock Truck Operators for a road building project in Fort McMurray. If you're reliable, safety-focused, and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Safely operate 40T rock trucks in accordance with project requirements and Ledcor safety standards

  • Haul soil , gravel and other materials throughout the project site

  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip equipment inspections

  • Report mechanical issues and unsafe conditions promptly

  • Follow haul road rules, site traffic plans, and radio communication protocols

  • Work closely with supervisors, excavator operators, dozer operators, and grade crews

  • Adhere to all Ledcor and project safety policies, procedures, and site requirements

Qualifications

  • At least 2 years' experience operating articulated trucks in a construction, mining or earthworks environment

  • Strong understanding of safe hauling, loading, dumping, and traffic management practices

  • Strong commitment to workplace safety

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Must be available for day / night shifts

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing

  • CSTS 09, Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or OSSA Basic Safety Orientation (BSO)

Work Conditions

  • 14 days on and 7 days off, working 12 hours per day
