Job description

Job Title: Hardware QA Automation/Manual EngineerLocation: Austin, TXDuration: Fulltime/Permanent position

Automation Experience:

  • Expertise in automation using code bases such as Python, C#, or Selenium.

Project Contributions & Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct both hardware and software testing on a variety of devices and peripherals.
  • Test various peripherals, such as Chrome boxes, cameras, speakers, touch controllers, hubs, and extension cables.
  • Perform hardware testing at different stages (EVT, DVT, PVT), including testing of new feature enhancements.
  • Carry out firmware upgrades on different peripherals.
  • Run performance tests involving multiple participants to assess CPU consumption.
  • Conduct accessibility testing to support users with disabilities (e.g., color blindness, cognitive issues) and perform i18n language testing.
  • Test applications across multiple platforms, including Android, iOS, and Web.
  • Integrat Google Meet with Cisco, Webex, and Zoom platforms.
  • Manage fleet operations within admin privileges across multiple web domains.
  • Monitor and maintain daily automation test runs.
  • Actively participate in project meetings to share updates, discuss feature enhancements, and suggest process optimizations.
  • Optimize test cases and added new functionalities to the regression suite to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Communicate regularly with clients through daily status reports, weekly status reports, and updates on project management tools.
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior testers and team members.
  • Deliver consistent updates on testing progress, test results, and any risks or issues to project managers, and other stakeholders, while collecting and analyzing test metrics.
