Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Lead with strong expertise in WebDriverIO (TypeScript) and Selenium-based test automation to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise automation solutions.
  • The ideal candidate will have hands-on automation experience, excellent leadership capabilities, and a proven track record of guiding both onsite and offshore QA teams while driving Agile Test-Driven Development (ATDD) practices.
  • This role requires strong technical proficiency in automation framework development, mentoring QA engineers, and collaborating with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead QA automation efforts for enterprise-scale web applications.
  • Design, develop, and enhance scalable automation frameworks using industry best practices.
  • Mentor and guide onsite and offshore QA teams on automation strategy, coding standards, and ATDD implementation.
  • Develop automated test scripts using WebDriverIO (TypeScript), Selenium, or Java.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, estimation, and Agile ceremonies.
  • Implement and maintain BDD/ATDD automation using Cucumber and Gherkin.
  • Build reusable automation components using the Page Object Model (POM) and modular framework architecture.
  • Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines and test management tools.
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to ensure quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Perform manual testing when required and support defect analysis and resolution.
  • Create and execute SQL queries for backend data validation.
  • Provide regular status updates, automation metrics, and quality reports to stakeholders.
  • Continuously evaluate and recommend new automation tools, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Technical Skills

  • 10 years of experience in Software Quality Assurance and Test Automation.
  • Strong hands-on experience with WebDriverIO (TypeScript).
  • Experience with Selenium WebDriver using Java or TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
  • Experience implementing BDD/ATDD using Cucumber, Gherkin, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with Node.js and WebDriverIO automation.
  • Knowledge of Watir, Selenium WebDriver, and browser automation.
  • Strong SQL skills for database validation and testing.
  • Experience designing and maintaining automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM).
  • Familiarity with framework modularization, reusable libraries, and design patterns.
  • Experience integrating automation suites into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, estimation, and defect lifecycle.
  • Experience testing distributed and highly scalable applications.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills.
