Job description

Role Descriptions & Responsibilities
We are looking for an AI Engineer Intern who will complement R&D efforts and specifically focus on improving our code coverage for SIMULIA code base.
The SIMULIA R&D Team is exploring how to use AI technologies within R&D Operations to accelerate increasing code coverage for our vast code base. You will be learning about our C++, Java, Javascript, Fortran code base and assist in writing Unit tests, System level tests for SIMULIA code and help establish tools and processes and dashboards. You will also be creating dashboards using our apps to visualize data. Some more of your responsibilities include the following:
• Write Unit Tests, System level tests to cover SIMULIA code base
• Work with AI tools to optimize effort and define best practices
• Participate in team/ status meetings
• Develop tools and utilities to improve efficiency
• Develop reports on dashboards to visualize information
• Document best practices based on learnings for SIMULIA R&D to adopt later.
Qualifications
• Actively enrolled in a Master's or PhD program at a college or university for the duration of the internship
• Coding experience in Python or another programming language
• Great attention to detail
• Knowledge of Agentic AI technology
• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs)
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Preferred:
• Experience in simulation software testing/ development
