Job description

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking a Software Testing Engineer to support the development and implementation of business-critical software. The successful candidate will work closely with software development teams to ensure that applications meet quality standards and function seamlessly for users. This role involves designing and executing comprehensive test plans, detecting issues, and providing critical feedback to ensure that software systems are reliable, scalable, and secure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop software that meets business needs.
  • Design and execute test plans, procedures, and scripts to validate software and system modifications prior to implementation.
  • Develop testing scripts using various programming languages, such as C++, C#, Go, Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, or JavaScript.
  • Perform automated and manual testing procedures to assess software functionality and performance.
  • Conduct white box, black box, and gray box testing to ensure thorough evaluation of software.
  • Detect and report bugs, errors, security issues, and coding inconsistencies to the development and security teams.
  • Assess metrics such as user acceptance, scalability, and performance to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Document and maintain test procedures, ensuring consistency and compliance with organizational standards.
  • Report detailed findings from testing procedures and communicate necessary improvements to the development team.
  • Track software defects using bug tracking systems and work closely with development teams to resolve them.
  • Provide actionable feedback on software enhancements and collaborate on refining product requirements based on testing results.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance, including Agile and Scrum development environments.
  • 5+ years of experience with one or more programming languages, such as C++, C#, Go, Java, Python, SQL, NoSQL, or JavaScript.
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing methodologies, such as integration testing, acceptance testing, security testing, and usability testing.
  • 3+ years of experience working in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • 3+ years of experience with configuring and running compliance software.
  • 3+ years of experience with automation and test management tools.
  • Experience with web services such as SOAP, REST, Parquet, and JSON.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with industry-standard defect/bug tracking tools.
  • Experience in configuring and running test management tools.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.
  • Certification in cloud architecture with AWS, GCP, or Azure is a plus.
  • US Citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance is preferred.
