Position Summary: Aetna Resources, LLC, a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Hartford, CT: Sr. Software Development Engineer to design and develop digital software applications and platforms. Duties include: analyze user needs and develop software solutions to meet business requirements; determine feasibility of solutions design and prepare technical design documentation; upgrade existing software applications and/or systems to improve functionality and features with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability; write and review high quality code and perform unit and/or automation testing; support applications, systems, and databases used to process prescriptions, claims, and related healthcare activities; collaborate with cross-functional teams on applications development, technical requirements, code review, project deliverables, quality assurance, and software development best practices; and mentor junior team members. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Also requires five (5) years of experience with each of the following:
Java, Python, or Node.js;
COBOL and JCL;
IBM DB2, Oracle, or Hibernate;
SQL, MS Access, or MS Excel;
Crystal Reports;
Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
Preparing high level designs, low level designs, test plans, and a complete project development plan;
Providing the estimations for enhancement and maintenance requests for applications; and
Technical Design of the business requirements.
Pay Range: $147430.00/year to $203940.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
